2025 Abington Commissioner Candidates

Daniel Donnelly

Ward 2 — MUST WRITE-IN FOR PRIMARY

I am a retired mechanical engineer and 27-year resident of Abington Township, and I am running for township commissioner in Ward 2 as a write-in candidate. As a township commissioner, I would serve the community by focusing on fiscal responsibility to wisely spend your hard-earned tax dollars.

In addition, as Abington is an older close-in suburb of Philadelphia, I would work to ensure that the township maintains its unique suburban character by maintaining primarily single-family zoning and discouraging high density housing which would eventually overwhelm the existing infrastructure.

Joe Dunn

Ward 4 — MUST WRITE-IN FOR PRIMARY

What I am committed to:

— Increasing awareness and addressing crime impacting our community.

— Providing transparent explanations for proposed tax increases related to capital
projects.

— Bringing a conservative viewpoint to the Board of Commissioners for more
balanced governance.

Maria Dellamonica

Ward 6 — MUST WRITE-IN FOR PRIMARY

I will commit to serving the residents of Ward 6 with honesty, integrity, and transparency. I will strive to listen to and address the questions and concerns of my constituents.

I was born and raised in Abington township and have been a resident of North Hills for over 40 years. Together with my husband, Paul, we raised four children here. I’ve been working in education for forty years.

Amy Haviland

Ward 10 — MUST WRITE-IN FOR PRIMARY

I am committed to:

— Opposing mid to high-rise high-density housing.

— Strengthening the relationship between the community and police.

— Taking a proactive approach to traffic safety.
